Today in Mopar history class:
The black comedy 'Short Time' with Dabney Coleman features a police officer who gets bad news from the doctor. The only way to help his family is to collect benefits if he dies on duty. So naturally he kicks out his partner and goes after the most militant bank robbers ever.
Historically significant for featuring and trashing the last of the classic Chrysler RWD V8s available. Not since the Blues Brothers have you got so much police engine action going on. And the boats.. Look at the villain's car. Acres of mopar.
Yeah, a coupe would have been a better way to go, but at least most of them went fast.
